Founder And Managing Partner
Barrister Minaal Tariq Ghani began her legal career as a Fellow of the Bertha Justice Foundation, where she worked on death penalty defense cases and criminal justice reform in Pakistan. She advocated for the recognition of mental illness as a defense in capital punishment cases and contributed to the legislative reform of Pakistan’s narcotics laws. Her work earned her a scholarship for a fellowship at the Australian National University for the Reform of the Criminal Justice System in Pakistan.
Building on this foundation, she went on to advise the Federal Government of Pakistan through the Office of the Attorney General for Pakistan, working on high-profile constitutional, commercial and corporate matters. She further refined her expertise while clerking for a Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, assisting in landmark cases that shaped Pakistan’s legal landscape.
She was appointed a Special Public Prosecutor for the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, notified by the Federal Government, where she litigated over 200 cases before superior courts and the SECP’s Appellate Bench. In addition to litigation, she provided advisory services in over 400 enforcement and adjudication actions by the SECP against companies, strengthening her command over corporate, financial, commercial and securities regulations. Her advocacy in a shareholder dispute earned her a commendation from the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the reported case of Mrs. Naila Naeem Younus v. Indus Services Ltd.
Transitioning into the corporate sector, Barrister Minaal Tariq Ghani served as General Legal Counsel for two of Pakistan’s largest multinational telecom companies, advising on regulatory disputes involving NEPRA, PTA, FBR, corporate governance issues and negotiating commercial contracts with private companies and multinational giants like Meta. Her expertise in mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and regulatory affairs positioned her as a key legal strategist in Pakistan’s evolving telecom industry.
She has advised the Federal Government of Pakistan on the privatization of State-Owned Entities, and is notified as a Member of the Grievance Redressal Committee of the Privatisation Commission for the privatization of electricity distribution companies. With her deep expertise in corporate restructuring, regulatory disputes, and commercial laws, she remains a trusted advisor in Pakistan’s economic reform initiatives.
Barrister Minaal holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with Honours from the University of London, where she received an Academic Achievement Award, and completed her Bar Practitioners Training Course at City, University of London and the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, before being called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2017. She later earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from City, University of London, where she was awarded a Merit for her dissertation on counterterrorism and the rule of law. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (U.K).
As an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan, she has appeared in and assisted in numerous landmark cases reported across Pakistan’s leading law journals. Her advocacy skills were commended by a Supreme Court Bench comprising two Chief Justices of Pakistan in a high-stakes shareholder dispute. Her distinguished career, spanning criminal defense and prosecution, civil and constitutional law, regulatory affairs, corporate and commercial law, and government advisory, cements her reputation as a trusted legal expert in some of Pakistan’s most high-profile legal matters.
